Our Story
What was once a feared and forsaken garbage dump—known for death and despair under the brutal reign of Idi Amin—God ordained to become a place of life, hope, and transformation. On the outskirts of Entebbe, where burning refuse once defined the land, He raised up a church to proclaim His truth, a school to educate and disciple children, a medical clinic to heal the sick, a vocational farm to provide sustenance and skills, and a Bible school to train future pastors and church planters.

Shining Christ’s Light on Africa! ShineOn! is a U.S.-based evangelical Christian nonprofit with a mission to ADVOCATE for disadvantaged African children and youth in Uganda by providing humanitarian aid, medical assistance, and educational opportunities rooted in biblical discipleship. We ELEVATE local pastors and leaders, partnering with them to fulfill the Great Commission, and COLLABORATE with like-minded organizations to foster the physical and spiritual transformation of Africa's next generation.
